Long time no communique Crow Rooster fans. We have been inactive the past couple years (geez time goes fast), due to old studio landlord issues, finding a new studio facility and relocation to new site. But we are now setup and the dust has settled at our new location. Now we can get back to producing more music for you. We should have a new album out, probably a Little Izzy release, sometime mid to late 2012. As always, mucho thanks to all our fans and supporters.
Peace, love and soul,
Doogie Edwards
A big howdy, howdy to all you Crow Rooster fans out there. Doogie here to let you know we got another release of music. The Strip 77 boyz got together and recorded another disc. Like the first album, it's got more power pop ditties that will get your toes a tappin', but is a bit more R'N R' overall. Big thanks to James Walker and Liam Westbrook for sittin' in and bringing their wares to the table. As always, a big THANKS to all who support Crow Rooster Records.
Peace, love and soul,
Doogie Edwards
Greetings ladies and gents. I told ya we'd have another release in the near future and here it is! LIL' IZZY'S LOUNGE COMBO, VOL. I. If you dig not only hip songs with vocals, but also semi-instrumentals, as well as, a couple of instrumentals, then this eclectic album is for you! Half the albums vocal tracks are reminiscent of Elvis meets Delbert McClinton meets Eddie Cochran, yet are totally modern and cool as hell. The other half is right out of the Ventures meet Booker T and the MG's meet Link Ray mold. If you dig songs like "Wipeout", "Tequila", "Walk Don't Run", "Pick Up the Pieces" etc, then you gotta give LIL' IZZY'S LOUNGE COMBO, VOL. I a listen. It'll make your foot a tap and have you up and dancin' in no time. The first 50 orders will receive a free T-shirt!
Peace, love and soul,
Doogie Edwards
Greetings to all ye followers of Crow Rooster Records:
A toast to our new fans from europe (UK, Spain, Denmark & Germany). Sorry for long abscence, but our studio had some technical difficulties (leaky roof issues, ugh). Everything thing has been fixed and we're up and running again. And so, we are very pleased to let you know, that we will have another new release in the very near future. This new group is quite eclectic and have a unique sound. A sound that is loads of fun with hooky grooves. Think the Ventures meet Sly and the Family Stone, meet Cheech and Chong, meet Elvis. Therefore, buckle up kiddies, you're in for another ride with Crow Rooster Records. Keep us in your sites, cause we're gonna keep comin' at ya.
Peace, love and soul,
Doogie Edwards
Greetings to all. We told ya about an upcoming EP of some scorchin' tunes, well it turned out to be alot more! So without further ado, let me introduce to you, ONE BRICK SHY's Volume I. A disc consisting of 10 straight-ahead, butt-kickin' rock n' roll songs. If AC/ DC, Urge Overkill, Green Day etc, are apart of your record collection, then you'll want to give this disc a listen. The band consists of: James Micheals- vox; Ian Evans- gtr; Nigel Evans- gtr; Grady Jones- bass; Joey Stewart- drms, five dudes that play tight, concise, cowpunk-pop sure to make your toes tap. If drivin' guitars, thumpin' bass and poundin' drums with gritty, Bon Scott- vox turns you on, then turn on to ONE BRICK SHY, Volume I.
Peace, Love & Soul,
Doogie Edwards
P.S. Once again, the first 100 orders of One Brick Shy, Vol. I will receive a free Crow Rooster Studio T-shirt.
Well folks, here we go again. It seems like forever since we released our inaugural compilation disc, but it's due to all the personel changes which occurred along the way. Some of our personalities have had to depart the Crow Rooster roster. One left due to job relocation (see ya Chuck, best wishes), another had to resign due to family addition (congrats Bob!) and another due to artistic differences (we shan't work together again). So as a result, here's Crow Rooster Records mach II.
The remaining musicians decided to form-up a band, with a few additions, and produce our latest release. So please welcome STRIP 77; Jackson Alder, vox/ harp; Tommi Constantine, gtrs; Steve Abelli, gtrs, b vox; Clive Jones, bass; Jim Riffle, drums/ perc. They have written and recorded a damn good album. GIVE IT A LISTEN, YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID!
Once again, thanks to all for being patient and all the feedback.
Peace, Love and Soul,
Doogie Edwards, Crow Rooster Studio & Records
P.S.
We've got a cow-punk-pop band gettin' ready to record an EP. Stay tuned for some scorchin' tunes in the near future. Also, the first 100 purchases of STRIP 77, VOL. I will receive a free T-shirt.
